In this Ecuador project, the customer's melting line was experiencing variability in hydrogen content and molten metal cleanliness, leading to inconsistent casting results, increased scrap, and higher process-related losses.

Rather than treating degassing as a simple equipment addition, the customer approached the upgrade as a process engineering optimization.
