Heating and stirring

Melts the metallic aluminum in the aluminum dross to be molten aluminum during heating, while the aluminum dross remains solid and does not melt. Due to the lower density of molten aluminum compared to solid aluminum dross, naturally separate during heating.

The hot aluminum dross discharged from the aluminum melting furnace and then be delivered into the dross separator, which is equipped with an adjustable height stirring device. During stirring process, the molten aluminum gradually sinks towards the bottom of the container to form a molten pool, while solid aluminum dross remains in the upper part of the molten pool.

Discharge of aluminum dross

During the stirring process, solid aluminum dross is discharged from the aluminum dross discharge hole at the top of the container, while molten aluminum is discharged from the discharge hole at the bottom of the container and can be directly cast into aluminum ingots.

During the stirring process, aluminum combustion and oxidation will create smoke and dust to the environment. Therefore, the aluminum dross separator is equipped with a smoke exhaust device on the upper part of the container. After the flue gas is treated by cyclone separation, water mist dust removal or pulse dust removal, the clean gas is discharged into the atmosphere, and the sewage is treated by a sedimentation tank and recycled for use.
